Birthday, Thanksgiving, EDU 697, and Sara!

Wow, there is so much to write about right now.  We are finally getting "somewhat" settled in our new apartment in Lynnwood.  The problem has been that we are now in Lynnwood and there is SO MUCH TO DO to distract us from the task of unpacking.  We have to literally force ourselves to settle down somewhat and unpack.  Today we did a lot because it was dreary outside but we could not help ourselves from venturing out to try a restaurant we found:  The Rock, wood fire pizza.  It was delicious and we WILL be back.

My birthday came and went.  I am now 29, and it is my last year I can technically lie about my age.  HAHA!  I am really looking forward to my 30's.  I think it will be a great time of my life.  I have a lot going on and my 30's will be awesome!

Thanksgiving was quiet.  Just Mike, Sara and I.  I was sick anyway and spent the day in bed so no cooking and no overstuffing ourselves.  We will cook the ham tomorrow (Sunday) and will probably stuff our faces then.  I'm feeling much better but I still have some ways to go before recovery.  It's been nice to be able to sleep so late since I don't have work.

EDU 697 is done on Monday the 29th at midnight!  I'm so excited.  Due to being sick I wasn't able to be done with everything by Thanksgiving but I got everything done today and will be just "patiently" waiting for the professor to post the grade.  If I did my final project correctly, I will graduate with a 4.0 with my Master of Arts in Teaching with Learning and Technology.  I'm very excited.  I start my PhD in Organization and Management on January 10, 2011 through Capella University.  I am excited but VERY nervous.

Sara is growing so fast!  She's more than doubled in size since we first got her back in August and she's so busy!  She loves her new home after adjusting and realizing that Mom and Dad were staying right here with her.  She panicked some while at the old place when she realized "her" stuff was leaving, and she panicked slightly when we first got here to the new place, but she calmed down once she realized this was home.  There are other dogs in the complex that she has met.  She starts her training tomorrow through PetsMart and we are very excited.  She's a wonderful companion for us and we just love her to pieces!!!

Sara experienced her first snow and she seemed to really like it.  She liked it better than the rain at least, so that's improvement.  :-)

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.  I cannot believe it is upon us.  The year has gone by so fast, so much has changed.  After two moves, three degrees being completed (1 for Mike, 2 for Jennifer), a puppy adoption, and a layoff, we have survived!  It can only get better from here.  Life is good and we are richly blessed.
