I thought would catch everybody up on a lot of "stuff" that is going on. Once again it's been over a month since I've written and life has been zooming by so fast.
I just finished one more class of my master's program. I have one week of one more class to do then two more classes... I will be done November 29. I cannot wait. The doors of opportunity will be open wide (at least I HOPE).
Sara is doing REALLY well. She's loving her new forever home, and we love having her here. I cannot beging to tell you how good she is for us. Mike comes home smiling because he can't help falling in love with the face that greets him every day. She wiggles her whole body, not just her tail, when he comes home. It's quite hilarious. She had her last set of puppy shots yesterday and is ready for some fun!!! We just have to keep her away from the boys until she's spayed so she doesn't go into heat early. So hopefully we can find some entertainment for her at the dog park or the beach without the boys around. :-)
Sara loves to play ball and no matter what time of the day it is, she has a ball in her mouth. It's so funny. She is growing so much. She was 25 lbs. already at the vet yesterday! Oh my goodness. She still has a ton of growing to do and the vet said she'll probably do most of it in the next two to three months. I wish she would just stay small!!!!! But she will definitely be a beautiful dog. Her coloring is perfect and her face is just adorable.
Mike will be unemployed again October 4th. We are ready to leave the Navy life behind us though. He will still be a reservist, but he is going to go to school at Everett Community College for the next two years earning his A&P license. For those of us who have no clue (like me) that basically means Airplane Mechanics License. He'll be able to work with his hands on airplanes and fix them when they go wrong. I think it will be awesome for him. He will also be able to finish all his piloting licenses that he needs to in the next two years. When he's done, he'll be really marketable in the aviation field.
Of course, with the transition back into school, it means another move. I cannot begin to describe to you all how sad I am to be leaving the house we just moved into. We love it here and I finally feel "home" for the first time since I left my parent's house when I was 18 (that was 10 years ago). So to finally be home and now have to leave again after only a few months, it greatly saddens me. But, on the positive side, at least I know what home feels like now. I will know it again when it comes back around.
We found an apartment in Lynnwood (about 5 miles from the school). It's nice. The layout is good, and the place is Sara friendly. It is an older place and definitely not an upgrade to where we live, but we keep hearing that we'd have to shell out tons of dough if we wanted to live like where we're living now. Oh well. God is providing some really great opportunities now and we need to take them, regardless of where they lead, right?
So that's the update. I know it's like a novel, but I can't help it! So much has happened. Life is good. It's busy, but it's good. God has provided for us in so many ways and I need to constantly remind myself of that.
